The Grand Central Academy of Art was created by professional, exhibiting artists to offer classical training to serious students. The Academy offers a positive environment for classical instruction in drawing and painting.
The goal of the Academy is to train a generation of highly skilled, aesthetically sensitive artists in the humanist tradition.
The further mission of the Grand Central Academy is to offer a public place for the revival of the classical art tradition; to foster and support a community of artists in pursuit of aesthetic refinement, a high level of skill and beauty.

Thank you so much for sharing your Photo's with us. One day I'd love to attend the school and workshops. I feel that I could really grow as an artist with the Proper training. Reading the blog here is very inspiring and maybe one day I'll be able to share my work with you all as well.
My students were so dedicated and by the end, I think I convinced them all that preparation is an asset. Also, the GCA is doing an incredible job attracting talent. It is a real oasis...and sometimes it feels like we are making a dent in art history.
I'm so ecstatic to hear that you feel that way. It's really needed both dedication and a dent in art history. If kept at it hopefully it can be reshaped back into what it once was, perhaps even greater ;)
